An active little baby!

Hello! My week off is coming to an end and I have a crazy busy week ahead to look forward to. It was a nice week off and I got a lot done, though. My break started with our "baby moon" in Traverse City which was wonderful! We got up there Saturday night and went to a nice dinner at a local brewery then spent the rest of the night relaxing in our comfy room. While we were relaxing, I was getting some big kicks so I quick grabbed Burton's hand and he got to feel the movement which was so exciting for him. Sunday, we got up early and worked out in the health club which was cool because you could see the tennis courts from the treadmills and there was a tourney going on. After we worked out, we had a yummy breakfast in the hotel then ventured into town to go to church. From church we hit the pool in the hotel which was really nice. Burton was very excited about the indoor/outdoor jacuzzis. I got to stick my feet and legs in the indoor one and visit with him. It was better than nothing! :) Burton surprised me with a prenatal massage in the hotel so I headed off to the spa while he went to the room to watch some basketball. The massage was amazing. I was so relaxed, which of course meant that the baby was super active. S/he was bouncing around like crazy the whole time which always makes me giggle to feel. I did feel very spoiled in the spa as I have never been to one before. :) Sunday night we went a really nice Italian restaurant because it was TC's Restaurant Week. We had a delicious meal then went back, watched a movie and relaxed some more! We got really lucky with the weather and the traffic. No problems up or back. This weekend, TC got 17 inches and had to close some roads. Good thing we went last weekend!

Tuesday night, Bobb came over and helped Burt move our room from upstairs to downstairs so we can be next to the nursery. I have been wanting to get this done for some time and am glad it is all set now. It also means shorter trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night...bonus! I picked up some paint samples for the nursery now we just have to decide and get started on that. I asked Burton to come up with a timeline for the nursery...he has yet to provide me with this. haha I know it will get done sooner or later. We have some time.

Tonight as the State game (a disappointing one) was beginning, the baby was moving around like crazy so I called Daddy over and he got some "move your hand" type of kicks. His face was priceless. I think he felt it last time, but this time was powerful movements and he was so happy. He can't believe how active this little one is and that's what is going on inside my belly. Well, believe it because it's what I feel a lot throughout the day. My gut is telling me this is a boy and a very active one. Either way, I think we're going to have our hands full.

I am getting so excited for my showers in April and May and for all my family to be together to celebrate this beautiful miracle. Other than some back pain from the extra 17 lbs (no problems gaining now, I owe this to my weakness...ICE CREAM!) I am carrying in front, I have still been feeling good. I actually kind of enjoy pregnancy. I think it is a beautiful thing and it is the only time I have ever just felt 100% confident in my own skin, it's really the most natural a woman can be. But of course, I can't wait to have my baby in my arms to kiss and hold!

Have a great week everyone!

Love, The Weltes + 1
