The Detroit Marathon attracts people from all around the world!
The race crosses over the Ambassador Bridge into Canada!
It starts and finishes in the city of Detroit!
As some of you may know, in SIX days I will be running my first half marathon in downtown Detroit. (www.freepmarathon.com)
The race starts at 7:15 am in the city of Detroit and the course goes over the Ambassador Bridge into Ontario, Canada then back to Detroit through the Canadian/Detroit tunnel. It is 13.1 miles total which is going to be a feat! I have been training very consistently with a few skips here and there due to blisters or studying for the last 11 weeks and I feel confident in my ability to finish. I am certainly not out to break any records nor will I care much about my time as long as I can finish and say I have done this!
PLEASE think about me from 7:15-10 am or so on Sunday, October 18! I will need all the positive thoughts I can get! :)
