Hello friends and family! I have decided to TRY to keep updating our blog so we can keep everyone up to date on the Weltes!
I am currently in my third semester of my Master's program and although it is stressful and a lot of work, I have never been more sure I am on the right path! I love everything about the field, the program and the University! I have three classes this semester, three next, one class and my practicum in the summer then I will do my internship at a school next fall. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I am mostly looking forward to practicum this summer as OU has a free to the community counseling center in which I will be taking clients in all summer. Scary AND exciting! I am working 28 hours still at Snelling and plan to through the summer then figure something out for money during my internship I suppose. On top of school and work, I have signed up to run the Detroit half marathon on Oct 18 and have been training for the past 10 weeks. PLEASE say a prayer for me next Sunday that I can make it across the 13.1 mile finish line! :)
Burton is still with the same company in Royal Oak, but they were just informed the office will be moving to Pontiac which adds to his commute, but it could be worse...he could not have a job at all! We are thankful for all the overtime he has gotten this summer. My husband is such a hard worker and he makes me SO proud! He is also studying like crazy for his fundamentals of engineering exam which is Oct. 24. Please say a prayer that he passes!
That is pretty much all going on with us right now. We both love being married and cannot wait for all the new, exciting chapters in our lives to come!
When I am done with school, our goal is to find jobs in the Lansing or Shiawassee areas and buy a house and raise some munchkins OUTSIDE of metro-Detroit!
