Hello everyone! I have been very busy lately with wedding plans. I got my bridesmaid dresses picked out. If you would like to see them go to http://www.dessy.com/ and click on the After Six line...they are dress #6501. The dresses are Kiwi with Rose sashes. I had a hard time finding a tuxedo rental place that could match my colors so I also ordered all the guys Kiwi ties from After Six.
I'm not sure if I already posted this or not, but I picked out all my chair covers and table overlays. I met a lady at the bridal show who does them out of her house so Kate and I went to her (beautiful) house in Rochester Hills and got those all picked out. I was happy with her selection.
After talking to TONS of photographers, we have chosen a guy named Brett Maxwell http://www.brettmaxwellphoto.com/ out of Lansing. He is a young guy, but his work is really nice. There is something about all the lighting and color in his pictures I just love. If you see his site, you will know what I mean. He shot one of Kate's friend's weddings and they referred him highly. We are having engagement pictures taken next weekend. I will try to post some if possible.
Right now, I am starting to work on the guest list and save the dates and invitations.
I had no idea how complicated planning a wedding would be. I am lucky I have lots of friends and family who have been helping me out.
Also, Burton and I went to our Engaged Encounter retreat last weekend. It was a really good experience and we learned a lot about marriage and each other. We're happy we went! It got us excited (and nervous a little, haha) abut marriage.
